I am the salon owner and I specialize in hair extensions. I am also an educator and teach other stylists to do extensions.  I have over 9 years experience and do every technique of extensions on the market.  I do some hair color using Schwartzkopf or Redken and also make-up services for the wedding parties.

 JC prefers finishing all of his hair cuts with a precision dry cut, you wear your hair dry don't you?  He is also great at subtle, natural looking hair color for men.  If you like stick straight flat iron work  you will love him!  Permanent hair straightening is quite popular for his male clients and JC uses Redken & Schwartzkopf for hair color.

Erika - Makin Waves since February 1999

I have been licensed since 1992 and grew up in a hair artist family.  My mom owned a salon and that's where I was every day after school so I know alot of hair tricks.  I have fun working on all ages of men & women.  I specialize in corrective color. Corrective color is really my specialty, it may take all day but I can fix anything.  I use Goldwell and Redken color.  I seem to have a lot of  long hair clients since I'm not too scissor happy & I don't cut too much off.  If you ask for a trim that's what you get.  I do alot of Bo Derek style braids in the summer, this look is great for river trips & vacations.  PS..I only work Sundays if you ask nice! 

Patrick - Makin Waves since April 2003

I work Tuesday thru Sunday and take a surfing break each day.  I have a wide variety of clients and really enjoy hair cutting & color. I have been educated with Vidal Sasoon & Carlton Hair International.  I started my career in the Hollywood/Beverly Hills area but prefer the beach life & atmosphere.  I am experienced in color theory from many lines, including Schwartzkoph, Redken, Goldwell & Matrix. I also like art & traveling and have recently been to Costa Rica, Thailand and China.  I have created a product line called "Acme", it's great for you hair, smells good and the packaging is really cool and makes a great gift, come in and check it out!

I work Wednesday thru Saturday and use Schwarzkopf products.  My main education has been with Schwarzkopf and Toni&Guy.  I have a wide range of male/female clients.  I love a challenge when it comes to hair color.  I prefer to use many colors on my clients to create a more natural look.  I am a part of the wedding team specializing in up-do's.

Colleen - Makin Waves since August 2008

 Colleen is a master stylist and started her career doing hair for the soap opera "Guiding Light".  She uses Goldwell hair color and works quickly, so if you need to get in and out without losing the precision of the art she is your gal.  She is a part of the wedding team specializing in up-do's.

Cory Butcher - Makin Waves since September 2009

Cory is excellent at customer service and you will always feel well taken care of in her chair.  She has been trained extensively in Redken hair color and loves a color challenge.  She also does make-up services for our wedding parties.  Cory is available full time in the Huntington Beach salon but does take appointments in Laguna Beach as needed.

Brittney Hall - Makin Waves since November 2009

Brittney is working at the the Huntington Beach and Laguna Beach salons.  She is great at all hair styling and on the wedding team as an up-do specialist.
